30th September 2018, for the Plymouth Art Weekender, Ocean Studios, Royal William Yard, Devon. (11am)

Open Workshop: Exploring the philosophy of materialism across time via the two texts relating to the performance – De Rerum Natura (‘On the Nature of Things’, Lucretius, c. 99BC – 55BC) and Kairós, Alma Venus, Multitudo (Negri, 1999). We will be exploring the ideas behind the texts, as well as developing experimental live readings.

30th September 2018, for the Plymouth Art Weekender, Ocean Studios, Royal William Yard, Devon. (2pm)

Open Workshop: Exploring the texts through an experimental approach to sound and music.  Open to all and may be of particular interest to speakers, singers, and musicians. We will be exploring how to translate these texts into musical forms, using speaking, the formation of a potential spoken ‘chorus’ of readings and controlled group improvisation for musicians.  All are welcome to get involved or listen.
